Within the realm of gymnastics, most of us are notably aware of Jordan Chiles’ fervent passion to hype her friends, especially Simone Biles.

Keen on uplifting their spirits during performances, the 22-year-old has lived up to her tag of being the “hype woman.” Especially the moments of shared bonding between the dynamic duo “Biles and Chiles,” exemplify her supportive energy. Who can forget the occasion of the Tokyo Olympics when Simone Biles pulled out of the team final?

It was Jordan Chiles who stood up for Biles and led the team to silver. Jordan Chiles has never faltered to boost up Biles with her contagious energy. Recently, she took to share a throwback into the historic moment with Biles.

Resharing the story by GK Elite, Jordan Chiles took to her Instagram handle to once again reminisce the moment from the 2023 Xfinity US Gymnastics National Championship. GK Elite captioned it, “Throwback to an incredible moment in history with two of the strongest women @jordanchiles @simonebiles.”

The story originally is a part of the series posted by the IG handle @togethxr, which is an influential brand in women’s sports. It celebrated the tagline, “black is gold,” with iconic moments that glimpse into the black women in the gymnastics realm. The caption reads, “Beaming with pride.”

The kindred spirit between Chiles and Biles, at the 2023 Xfinity US Gymnastics National Championship is entrenched in history. While Simone Biles’ had given remarkable performances, there was a fair share of heartbreak as her best friend, Jordan Chiles, faced a fall from the uneven bars. However, despite that, Chiles continued her routine earning her spot in the Senior U.S. Women’s National Team.

Even during the event, Chiles continued to hype up Simone Biles. “She’s 26 years old and she’s doing big gymnastics,” she took to remark during the event for Biles. Interestingly, Chiles is well aware of her standing and enjoys being a hype woman, “I love being the hype woman. Sometimes you know they think I get on their nerves all the time, but it is what it is,” she adds. However, recent times are not very hyped up for Chiles.

Shocking Reports Claim Gabby Douglas Never Announced Retirement From Gymnastics in 2016.

Gabby Douglas shot to fame in gymnastics during the 2012 London Olympics, winning gold in both the team and individual all-around championships. Her moniker, “Flying Squirrel,” reflected her agility and elevated her to the pinnacle of American gymnastics. However, at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the story took an unexpected turn.

Douglas received a lot of flak and backlash despite winning a team gold medal, which made the world think that she had quietly quit the sport. After her comeback just came to light, the issue of whether Douglas ever retired or she just quietly weathered the storm is currently the talk of the town.

Douglas is preparing for a return, having not competed since the 2016 Olympics, which was eight years ago. She discussed the difficulties she encountered between 2013 and 2016 in an interview with Inside Gymnastics, highlighting the necessity of taking a step back and rediscovering oneself. Douglas disputed the notion of an early retirement by expressing her unshakable enthusiasm for gymnastics. The gymnast talked about her experience giving up the sport to deal with the challenges of life, saying that her break was never a planned one.

The Guardian reported that Douglas said, ‘I’ve been avoiding the internet because there’s so much negativity,‘ following the 2016 Games. How did this come about? she received a ton of criticism while sporting the Team USA leotard. She was criticized by some for not putting her hand on her heart during the national anthem, and by others for not applauding her colleagues loudly enough at the all-around final. She was greatly impacted by all of this, and her mother Natalie Hawkins told Reuters that Douglas was left “heartbroken.”

Douglas understands how hard it is to go back to Olympic-level fitness, which is why she chose WOGA in Plano, Texas, for her return in 2022. Before her formal declaration in July 2023 for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she had a year of covert preparation. The question remains: how did Douglas find the strength to come back after such a trying chapter as she gets ready for the Winter Cup?

Inspiring return of the Olympian unveiled

Douglas’s choice to come back to the professional scene gives women’s gymnastics a fresh dimension, coinciding with Chellsie Memmel’s outstanding comeback. During the pandemic, Chellsie Memmel, the 2008 Olympian and silver medalist from Beijing, started competing in elite gymnastics at her family’s Wisconsin facility. She took a break from gymnastics in 2012 and returned to it in 2021 to become a mother of two. During that time, she even conquered the difficult Yurchenko Double Full. Memmel’s sporting career came to a stop temporarily in May 2022 when she took on the position of technical lead for the U.S. National Women’s Artistic Gymnastics team.

Douglas is now swinging around on the uneven bars in WOGA and even performed flawless Chow 1 ⁄ 2 transitions and double layout dismounts. While the 28-year-old shared her practice online with her followers last year, for the past few years the mats have been deprived of her competence, and adding to the excitement is the third Olympic all-around gold medalist’s presence in the Paris Olympics squad.

The Olympian shared a snapshot of her new Gucci Diana Mini Tote bag

Jonathan Owens surprised his wife, Simone Biles, with a little bit of retail therapy.

On Friday, the Olympic gold medalist, 26, shared two Instagram Stories shouting out her husband for his generosity.

“I’ve been crying all day……..” Biles wrote in the post. “So he surprised me 🥺.”

“He’s the best 🤍🤎🙌🏾🥺 @jowens.”

The Green Bay Packers safety recently returned home to Biles after his team’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers during the Jan. 20 face-off.

At the January game, Biles reshared an Instagram reel of the couple sharing a kiss at his game. She then reposted snaps of the two from Owen’s Instagram Story.

“My love,” the football strong safety wrote over a picture of the two opening their arms to hug each other on the football field.

Biles also penned a sweet message to Owens following his impressive season. “It’s been a helluva season & there’s so much to be proud of,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m so proud of the work you’ve put in & the confidence you exude throughout your plays.”

She addressed her husband, “I love you Jonathan! another football season happy & healthy in the books 🤞🏾.”

The pair, who got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2022, first married in a civil ceremony in Houston, followed by a destination wedding in May 2023 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Months after their wedding, in October 2023, Biles shared that marrying Owens had completely shifted her perspective on life.

“Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing,” she said on the Today show. “I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house and all of the things. So it feels really good.”

As the Paris 2024 Olympics draw near, the gymnastics world waits for epic showdowns.

Two icons are poised to return to the Olympic stage again after having a roller coaster ride since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and they are Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee. As the 2024 gymnastics season kicks off, all eyes are on the Winter Cup set to unfold in the United States.

The Winter Cup is a qualifying event for the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships and also selects the junior and senior national teams. However, despite their aspirations for Olympic glory, it seems that the two icons, Simone Biles and Suni Lee, are missing out on this vital competition.

Shilese Jones, who also won medals at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, also seemed to be missing from the list. Other missing competitors include Jade Carey, the 2023 Swiss Cup winner, and Leanne Wong, another world championship competitor, who are currently busy competing for their college teams in the 2024 NCAA season. Additionally, Joscelyn Roberson, who was at the Worlds last year, is recovering from an ankle injury and was also missing from the list. As the 2024 Olympics approach, Simone Biles is looking to make a comeback with fans and teammates looking up to her

Simone Biles stands not only as a gymnastic sensation but also as a beacon of down-to-earth virtues, captivating the hearts of both fans and teammates.

As the anticipation for the 2024 Olympics in Paris builds, Biles emerges from a two-year hiatus, poised to become the focal point of the Games.

Simone Biles

At 26, Biles carries the weight of expectations gracefully, juggling not only the demands of her gymnastic pursuits but also managing a two-career marriage with Green Bay Packers player Jonathan Owens. Amidst her rigorous training, she shares the gym with aspiring teenage teammates, forging bonds that transcend age boundaries.

Joscelyn Roberson, a 17-year-old teammate who had the privilege of being part of the gold medal-winning team at last year’s World Championships, reflects on the camaraderie: “Yeah, I definitely feel like the age gap doesn’t really necessarily matter in the gym. So our struggles are similar. Getting to know Simone has honestly been so fun.”

“I feel like we’re all trying to strive for the same goals and we’re all doing the same thing.”

The connection between Biles and her teammates extends beyond the gym. Roberson recalls the special moment when Biles, impressed by a video of a young Roberson’s gymnastic skill, shared it on social media, expressing awe. “It just made me feel really special,” Roberson says.

Zoe Miller, another teammate, stresses her admiration for Biles’s human qualities over her gymnastic acumen. Miller attests to Biles’s humility, care, and the deep connection they share.

The team dynamics, however, aren’t just about athletic excellence. Tiana Sumanasekera, a member of the Pan Am Games team, describes the team as a “very silly group of girls.”

Biles, alongside teammate Zoe Miller, plays a crucial role in lightening the atmosphere during challenging training sessions. “Whenever we are having a hard day or something, they’re always there to crack a joke and make us laugh even if we’re crying,” says Sumanasekera.

Jordan Chiles, who stood alongside Biles at the 2020 Tokyo Games, expresses pride in witnessing Biles’s return to gymnastics. Chiles sees Biles as not only a phenomenal gymnast but also as someone who has redefined the sport, akin to the impact Michael Jordan had on basketball and Serena Williams on tennis.

In the words of Jordan Chiles, “Seeing her do this again for her third time, I think is something that I wish I could do. I wish I could be in that position where it’s just like, you know what, this is what I want to do and I’m just going to go for it.”

Adding to her lasting legacy, a few years back she brought her childhood ambition of hosting the Simone Biles Invitational to reality—inspired after attending the Mary Lou Retton Invitational as a child.

The international tournament took place this weekend with five elite gymnasts that train at the Biles family-owned—World Champions Centre.  Jordan Chiles and Zoe Miller including Biles were in attendance. Following the Biles Invitational, a gymnastics prodigy shared her amazing experience in a recent update.

Over the years, the Simone Biles Invitational has made its name as one of the biggest gymnastics competitions in the world; bringing together a large number of athletes, coaches, elite gymnasts, and the famous ‘Athlete Glow Dance Party’ under one roof. In the middle of the championship hustle on the second day, Jonathan Owens appeared on an Instagram story posted by the WCC showing him patiently seated on a seat and assisting gymnasts with their applications.

Interestingly, 3,500 gymnasts were predicted to attend, so the event was fairly crowded. However, Owens’ tattoos and braided hair are noticeable in the video from the busy venue. Overall, the overwhelmingly positive responses from the people who attended the Biles Invitationals prove that all of the hard work that went into making it a success was worthwhile.

Two decades later, Juszczyk rediscovered that love for sewing when making Halloween costumes for her and her husband.

“After finishing that project, I got a feeling like I’ve never felt before, a feeling like this is what I should have been doing my whole life,” her bio said.

From there, Juszczyk started “reworking” T-shirts, jerseys and even footballs into game day outfits for herself.

“I absolutely love what I do and just want to let you all know it’s never too late in life to rediscover a passion or talent!” the bio said.

The puffer vest Kristin Juszczyk made for Simone Biles

Juszczyk transformed the jersey of Packers safety Jonathan Owens into a puffer vest for his wife, Biles — and shared the process on TikTok.

Juszczyk started by removing the jersey’s sleeves. She traced out her pattern, then cut it out. She cut out the same pattern on a piece of fleece.

She attached the jersey to the fleece, then taped her lines to be channels for the puff. After that was stitched, she stuffed the puffer vest.

Next, she attached the collar and secured the vest’s openings.

The vest’s interior was just as special as its exterior. The green plaid lining featured Packers details, including pockets, a pennant and a patch. Plus, a patch of the Olympic rings and the NFL logo.

The end of the video showed a pic of Biles in the puffer vest walking hand-in-hand with Owens. She paired it with low yellow Moon Boots and a Louis Vuitton.

“She looks incredible,” Juszczyk said in the video. “Thank you so much, Simone, for trusting me with this project.”

Simone Biles keeps giving moment after moment to relish her love for her husband Jonathan Owens, caring less about the geographical distance between them. The last few days gave out relenting such frames where the gymnast showcased every chance she could gather for JO and fill those with her warmth. The spectacles brought in an ostentatious flavor as Simone Biles is already on her stiff practice regime for the Olympic return. Managing that, all she could try out these days was to show effort to minimize the geographical distance to exemplify the milieu of hearts.

Simone Biles’ support for Jonathan Owens never went off-track, without bothering the latter’s revelation in the augmented Pivot podcast. The 26-year-old Ohio native made a usual appearance in JO’s first playoff appearance for the Green Bay Packers squad. However, despite the disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Biles didn’t let the sad part slip to her husband. Even in a merrier way, she stood to the course, supporting the 28-year-old safety. So in that line, the gymnast’s latest Instagram post came to the fore but with a worded support. “love supporting you & your dreams”, it said. The perfect pictures flaunted the duo, bearing the same number and name.

This time, Jonathan Owens acknowledged the 4x Olympic gold-earning wife’s contribution by using his virtual gesture. In that heavy moment, the proud husband matched the occasion with the lines, “Love having you there every step of the way” with a crossed-finger emoji. That proved once again the standing side by side of the couple who had faced several uninvited flak from their marriage last year. But every time, they ended with giving a firm goal, albeit in constrained situations.

The Biles effect behind the improvement in career?

Jonathan Owens could provide a certain support to Simone Biles when she was going through dismantling days, away from her gymnastic fame. Eventually, JO did that wholeheartedly. As a result, the best chance of American gymnastics in the Olympics is already proving her mettle to be on the podium again. The same contribution was there from Simone’s side as well. After their marriage in April last year, Owens had to move away after signing with GBP. But in improving his performance on the field, the lanky footballer gave the due credit to his wife.

A thorough criticism from Simone Biles had worked like magic on him. In effect, Jonathan Owens had shed the loose ends from his performance and become a regular member of the starting squad. So, eventually, life comes full circle for their love affair every time. The well-wishers will expect the same in the future as well.

Simone Biles will likely be competing for gold this summer in Paris for the Olympics.

For now, though, the gymnastics icon is all about another gold. The green and gold, that is.

Biles is in full playoff mode as the Green Bay Packers continue their postseason run. Biles was in Dallas last week for the team’s huge 48-32 wild-card win over the Cowboys and now she’s in San Francisco for the Packers’ divisional round game against the 49ers on Saturday.

Biles is the wife of Packers safety Jonathan Owens, who is in his first year with the team.

Simone Biles

She’s been offering her public support to Owens and the Packers all season and has been a regular at games upon her return from the world championships last fall.

Biles, who brought her dogs with her to San Francisco, took to social media on Saturday to show off her game day look as well as to wish her husband well. The two married last year after meeting in early 2020.

“Good luck today baby,” she wrote in an Instagram story slide over a video of the two of them together prior to the Packers’ win over the Cowboys last week. “Go 34.”

Simone Biles

She added: “Let’s do the damn thing! I’m so proud of you.”

Kickoff for the Packers-49ers game is set for 7:15 p.m. at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

When Biles arrives, expect her to have a must-see game-day look like she did last week in Dallas.
