While a lot of times it feels like celebrities are invincible, and that because they have all the perks that come with being famous, nothing can go wrong in their lives. Serena Williams Shares Mental Health Struggles

Back in November, Serena Williams posted a tweet saying, “I am not ok today. And that’s ok to not be ok. No one is ok every single day. If you are not ok today I’m with you. There’s always tomorrow. Love you.”

This is not the first time that the 23-time grand slam tennis pro has gone public with her mental health struggles, in fact she had a very public conversation with Selena Gomez on her mental health platform Wondermind all about maintaining mental strength.

“Mental fitness for me is just really learn[ing] to shut down,” she explained. “For me, it’s so important to make sure, every day, I have a period of like… it’s so bad, because I don’t really do anything for me, I’m terrible at that!”

“And I’ve said it time and time again,” she continued. “I’m working on it. And so now I know that it’s so important to just put yourself first, especially mentally, I always have shut down moments. I have serious boundaries and I don’t let anyone cross those boundaries.”
